Jane,

There are a number of important pre-conditions that the Inspector has imposed in his decision notice. These importantly include a Source Protection Strategy and Groundwater monitoring regime, and also a Drainage Strategy and Drainage maintenance strategy including confirmation that the drainage scheme will be capable of adoption under the Water Act.

So all of that means that the development cannot begin unless and until those pre conditions are fulfilled. These are conditions which if properly carried through and then enforced during the works have real teeth/bite hence the regulatory authorities must now ensure that the conditions are not only strictly drawn up but are also very strictly monitored.

can we get them to measure the drinking water quality regularly?

can we see their crisis plan on water quality if it goes pear-shaped?
