Getting TPOs put on public village trees

Regarding the deleted thread, I haven't been out today so I have no idea if the row of trees in Northfield Avenue outside the Post Office have been felled or not.  Regarding getting TPOs put on public village trees it can be done although ODC are often reluctant to apply them. I managed to stop the felling of the lime tree outside 1-3 New Road by the developer at the time of the properties redevelopment and persuaded ODC that the trees in New Road are of special significance in the landscape of the village and they will act quickly in future if this situation arises again they said.  It's not easy to get TPOs put on public trees but it can be done. I think where there are trees of landscape significance in the village then we should try and get TPOs put on them.
