Emergency Plan for Shiplake Parish

The Parish Council are in the process of updating the Shplake Parish Emergency Plan, as the current version is now out of date. The purpose is not to interfere with the emergencies services but to provide support and assistance to any individals or parts of the village that may need help should an emergency arise.

The names of key contacts on the current plan are now out of date and we are looking for volunteers who would be prepared to be contacted in the event of an emergency.  If you feel you are able to be contacted in the event of an emergency would you email me with your name, address, mobile and any particular skills you may have. A large part of the Plan will also relate to spreading information quickly. For example when part of our village was without power for sometime we arranged for the Village Hall to be opened to provide warmth and hot drinks and of course ensure that any less abled people were looked after too. We need you!
