Thames Farm

A quote in The Henley Standard this week from the judge in the Hare Hatch Sheeplands planning appeal "There is a clear need for the local planning authority to be able to enforce planning control in the green belt in the general interest of the public." Lets hope that the appeal judges in the Thames Farm appeal feel the same.

Officers had recommended approval despite conflict with Neighbourhood Plan. Committee unanimously rejected it. I was there with over 100 residents. The atmosphere was very similar to the Thames Farm meeting back in September!

What did the officers recommend as a matter of interest; as from previous experience they don't seem to be on the same page as the committee members. SODC have come in for some stick recently and rightly so hence interesting to understand where the message has got through and where not!

Great news tonight for Sonning Common as SODC have unanimously rejected a planning application on a site for 3 times the amount that was agreed by the village residents in their NDP. Maybe there is hope!
