Shiplake Retirement Village

I understand the original topic with this title was accidentally deleted by the originator. A number of people have contacted me asking what I know of the matter. A leaflet outlining the proposals was delivered to some houses in the village over the weekend. I am unsure how many.

Essentially the plans are for a 40-bed care home, 66 houses/apartments and a club house. Those who did not get the leaflet could email the company in order to get one; their email is: info@retirementvillages.co.uk

Just in case there are villagers unaware, but the appeal lodged by the applicant is going to be decided by a hearing.

Brilliant.....another fantastic scheme designed solely to make the reading road even worse than it is....that company own Thamesfield I believe. Access will be a nightmare.
