Third Reading Bridge Update

OCC & SODC agreed to contribute funds to a traffic modelling study being led by Wokingham BC on behalf of interested parties. I have learnt that this study has been expanded and renamed 'Strategic Outline Business Case', wrongly suggesting that all parties are supporters of the scheme. In response, I have tabled a question to the OCC Cabinet asking for reassurance that any proposals resulting from the study will be rigorously challenged to ensure they best meet the needs of Oxfordshire residents

I have now read the 'Strategic Outline Business Case' proposal document and can confirm that the only route being evaluated is where the bridge runs from Thames Valley Park Drive â€" effectively the end of the A329(M) â€" then flies over 'Caversham Lakes' before landing at the junction of the A4155 and Caversham Park Road.
