The importance of the NP's Landscape Character Assessment
Good to hear from a resident today that they have read the early part of the NP's Consultation Statement and appreciated the enormous effort invoved in developing our/your plan and its importance. I also suggest reviewing the Landscape Assessment document as it is fundamental to maintaining the green spaces in the parish and the 'Separation of Settlements' policy of the NP. Not a large document to review, the content of which is very strongly supported by The Chilterns Conservation Board . Click on the links to both documents to gain a fuller appreciation.
A regret: Alas, SODC felt that their landscape consultant's assessment would be very strong in objecting to the Retirement Village (RV) planning application and subsequent inquiry and advised that it was not necessary to submit our landscape assessment. ...a BIG mistake! No criticism intended...just a point to underline the importance of the Landscape Assment to our NP in ensuring our rural environment is maintained and the RV development is consistent with what has been approved and its impact mitigated.
More good reasons to appreciate and support the NP tomorow!
