Feeding of Red Kites
Hello Shiplake,
Please can I ask the person on Baskeville Lane to stop feeding Red Kites. This has been going on for some time now and today there were around 10 swooping very low into the garden behind me and then into ours which is quite menacing!
Here's a link to a recent story! www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-9615787/Hungry-red-kites-terrorising-Oxfordshire-town-attacking-people-snatching-food.html
Besy wishes,
Tracy

There is an article in today’s Times about red kites in Henley. One snatched a biscuit out of a toddler’s hand scratching it! Another snatched a steak from a barbecue! We have a couple nesting in a tree behind our house with chicks yet to hatch. So far just a lot of calling and flying low over the garden sometimes causing the dogs to bark. It may be different when the chicks start flying! Definitely don’t feed them for many reasons!

They are getting very confident too! One swooped down into our garden a few weeks back and stole a dog chew while my dog was sitting right next to it!!!
