non-adherance to 20 MPH legal speed limit on station road speed

I continue to be baffled by the non-adherance of village residents to the legal speed limit of 20 MPH on Station Road.! I walk this route daily and less than 10% of drivers adhere to anything closely resembling the official limit.Many children and indeed adults are currently 'out and about' taking their daily exercise and sometimes stepping into the road to comply with social distancing. Who could possibly be in such a hurry, as Station road is not even a through road?
