The Other Emergency: the Time is Now

The Committee for Climate Change (CCC) last week advised the Government to seize the opportunity to turn the COVID-19 crisis into a defining moment in the fight against climate change. The latter is a crisis that is unprecedented in history. It will have vastly more far-reaching and serious long-term health / economic consequences than the pandemic.

We've seen what we can achieve locally when faced with a crisis. Now is the time to channel that community spirit into ensuring that we don't return to 'normal' but ask our Government to implement a green and just recovery.

Let's come together as a community and make our voices heard by writing to our MP and asking him to act now to create a new normal as we emerge from COVID-19.
