Crowds on the river
Just to warn you, we have just been for a walk along the river, from the bottom of Mill Lane towards lower shiplake, and it is absolutely packed. There are lots of big groups of people, mainly drinking, and blocking the paths. They are not social distancing with one another and are making it very hard for others to pass them at a safe distance. It is quite an unpleasant atmosphere and a bit intimidating, especially for kids. So you may wish to avoid it.
I have reported it online to Thames Valley Police, as I find it massively frustrating that these people are flouting the rules, increasing risk and prolonging lockdown for everyone, when most of us are going to great lengths to respect the rules.
thanks.

Thanks for reporting it to the police. We live on the footpath and have found Tesco bags full of beer bottles and cans left outside the property on the footpath. I have also reported it to the council. It happens everyday at the moment...

Thanks Carol. Such a shame. Glad to hear the police did respond last week.
