Doctors' surgeries

There are no doctors' surgeries in Lower Shiplake or Shiplake Cross.

There are two surgeries in Henley, the Bell Surgery and the Hart Surgery.  They are next door to each other and close to Townlands Community Hospital.

Sonning Common Health Centre also takes patients from the villages.

The nearest major hospital is the Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading. The RBH is part of the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust.

Townlands Community Hospital in Henley is part of the RBH group. The website lists the services available at Townlands.

Whilst the RBH caters for most requirements there may sometimes be a need for treatment provided at one of the Oxford hospitals - John Radcliffe, Churchill and Nuffield Orthopaedic - all part of the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust
