NHS Volunteers

I heard on the news this morning about the NHS asking for volunteers. Should we all join this too or can we become associated with it? Does anyone know. Thanks...

Everyone is doing a great job and I am uplifted by how many people are willing to help each other. Hopefully it will all continue after we are through this awful situation. Thanks to you for organising us all! Just didn’t want them to be organising the same groups all over again!

I am still trying to investigate this fully. The link is only for individuals to volunteer; & depending on which of the options you are offering to help with; you have to provide proof of identity. No provison here for groups to sign up. I will continue to research. As I mentioned above we have linked with similar volunteers in our OCC ward & I am sure we will be a very valuable resource. Many people have asked us for help & support and I am so grateful for the generosity of spirit in our area.

Hi, , We have fed details of our volunteer set up to our county council through our Councillor. I will check the link and see how these requests all link together. The govt, nhs and locals all need help but we need to make sure we can support those at the local level that we desperately need to stay indoors isolating and shielding to help the NHS in that way too as instructed by the PM. Will get back to you ASAP. Jo Stone, parish councillor and involved with coordinating in Shiplake
